Ground Venison Burritos


  • 1 lb Ground Venison
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 large soft tortillas
  • 2 1/2 cups Black Beans
  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • sour cream
  • Salsa
  • Lettuce (Shredded


  • Add the olive oil to the pan with the ground venison and spices (salt, cumin and chili powder), and cook until browned
    While the venison is browning, combine the black beans and rice and heat them until warm
    Microwave tortillas for 30 seconds to warm them up
    Once everything is ready, assemble your burritos. I typically put the rice and beans in first, then the venison, then I top it off with sour cream, cheddar cheese and salsa


If you like guacamole, feel free to add it as a topping as well - it's one of my favorites.
